Hadith 1658
Chapter 8: What was narrated concerning: “The month is twenty-nine (days)” - كتاب الصيام
حَدَّثَنَا مُجَاهِدُ بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ الْمُزَنِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الْجُرَيْرِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: مَا صُمْنَا عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ تِسْعًا وَعِشْرِينَ أَكْثَرُ مِمَّا صُمْنَا ثَلاَثِينَ .
It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:
"(The months in which) We fasted twenty-nine days at the time of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), were more than (the months in which) we fasted thirty days.
ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ
ہم نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے زمانے میں بہ نسبت ۳۰ دن کے زیادہ تر انتیس دن کے روزے رکھے ہیں ۔
