Hadith 3393
Chapter 10: What causes intoxication in large amounts, a small amount of it is (also) unlawful - كتاب الأشربة
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ، حَدَّثَنِي دَاوُدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ " مَا أَسْكَرَ كَثِيرُهُ فَقَلِيلُهُ حَرَامٌ " .
It was narrated from Jabir bin ‘Abdullah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“Whatever causes intoxication in large amounts, a small amount of it is (also) unlawful.”
