Chapter 183: What was narrated about what it is hoped will suffice for the night Prayer - كتاب إقامة الصلاة والسنة فيها

حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ ‏ "‏ مَنْ قَرَأَ الآيَتَيْنِ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ كَفَتَاهُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏

It was narrated from Abu Mas’ud that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

“Whoever recites the last two Verses of Surat Al-Baqarah at night, that will be sufficient for him.”
