Chapter 1: "[And (remember) when 'Isā (Jesus a.s.), son of Mary said: "O Children of Israel! I am the Messenger of Allāh unto you, confirming the Torah (which came) before me, and giving glad tidings of a Messenger to come] after me, whose name shall be Ahmad." (61:6) - كتاب التفسير
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ " إِنَّ لِي أَسْمَاءً، أَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، وَأَنَا أَحْمَدُ، وَأَنَا الْمَاحِي الَّذِي يَمْحُو اللَّهُ بِيَ الْكُفْرَ، وَأَنَا الْحَاشِرُ الَّذِي يُحْشَرُ النَّاسُ عَلَى قَدَمِي، وَأَنَا الْعَاقِبُ ".
Narrated Jubair bin Mut`im:
I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying, 'I have several names: I am Muhammad and I am Ahmad, and I am Al- Mahi with whom Allah obliterates Kufr (disbelief), and I am Al-Hashir (gatherer) at whose feet (i.e. behind whom) the people will be gathered (on the Day of Resurrection), and I am Al-Aqib (i.e. who succeeds the other prophets in bringing about good).
যুবায়র ইব্নু মুত’ইম (রাঃ) থেকে বর্ণিতঃ তিনি বলেন, আমি রসূলুল্লাহ্ (সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম)-কে বলতে শুনেছি যে, আমার অনেকগুলো নাম আছে। আমি মুহাম্মাদ, আমি আহ্মাদ এবং আমি মাহী। আমার দ্বারা আল্লাহ্ তা‘আলা সমস্ত কুফরী দূর করবেন। আমি হাশির, আমার পেছনে সমস্ত মানুষকে একত্রিত করা হবে এবং আমি ‘আকিব, সকলের শেষে আগমনকারী। [৩৫৩২] (আ.প্র. ৪৫২৮, ই.ফা. ৪৫৩২)
