Chapter 2: The Statement of Allah the Exalted: "...And glorify the praises of your Lord, before the rising of the sun and before (its) setting (i.e., the Fajr, Ẓuhr and 'Aṣr prayers) ." (V.50:39) - كتاب التفسير
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ جَرِيرٍ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ جَرِيرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ كُنَّا جُلُوسًا لَيْلَةً مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَنَظَرَ إِلَى الْقَمَرِ لَيْلَةَ أَرْبَعَ عَشْرَةَ فَقَالَ " إِنَّكُمْ سَتَرَوْنَ رَبَّكُمْ كَمَا تَرَوْنَ هَذَا، لاَ تُضَامُونَ فِي رُؤْيَتِهِ، فَإِنِ اسْتَطَعْتُمْ أَنْ لاَ تُغْلَبُوا عَلَى صَلاَةٍ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ غُرُوبِهَا فَافْعَلُوا ". ثُمَّ قَرَأَ {وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ الْغُرُوبِ}
Narrated Jarir bin `Abdullah:
We were in the company of the Prophet (ﷺ) on a fourteenth night (of the lunar month), and he looked at the (full) moon and said, "You will see your Lord as you see this moon, and you will have no trouble in looking at Him. So, whoever can, should not miss the offering of prayers before sunrise (Fajr prayer) and before sunset (`Asr prayer)." Then the Prophet (ﷺ) recited: 'And celebrate the praises of your Lord before the rising of the sun and before (its) setting.' (50.39)
জারীর ইব্নু ‘আবদুল্লাহ্ (রাঃ) থেকে বর্ণিতঃ তিনি বলেন, একরাতে আমরা নবী (সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম)এর সঙ্গে উপবিষ্ট ছিলাম। তখন তিনি চৌদ্দ তারিখের রাতের চাঁদের দিকে তাকিয়ে বললেন, তোমরা যেমন এ চাঁদটি দেখতে পাচ্ছ, তেমনিভাবে তোমরা তোমাদের রবকে দেখতে পাবে এবং তাঁকে দেখার ব্যাপারে বাধা বিঘœ হবে না। তাই তোমাদের সামর্থ্য থাকলে সূর্যোদয়ের আগে এবং সূর্যাস্তের আগের সলাতের ব্যাপারে প্রভাবিত হবে না। তারপর তিনি পাঠ করলেন, “আপনার রবের প্রশংসা, পবিত্রতা ও মহিমা ঘোষণা করুন সূর্যোদয় এবং সূর্যাস্তের পূর্বে” (সূরাহ ক্বাফ ৫০/৩৯)। [৫৫৪] (আ.প্র. ৪৪৮৪, ই.ফা. ৪৪৮৭)
