حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ، وَمَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الضُّحَى، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، قَالَ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ بَعَثَ مُحَمَّدًا صلى الله عليه وسلم وَقَالَ {قُلْ مَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ وَمَا أَنَا مِنَ الْمُتَكَلِّفِينَ} فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم لَمَّا رَأَى قُرَيْشًا اسْتَعْصَوْا عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ " اللَّهُمَّ أَعِنِّي عَلَيْهِمْ بِسَبْعٍ كَسَبْعِ يُوسُفَ ". فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ السَّنَةُ حَتَّى حَصَّتْ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ حَتَّى أَكَلُوا الْعِظَامَ وَالْجُلُودَ ـ فَقَالَ أَحَدُهُمْ حَتَّى أَكَلُوا الْجُلُودَ وَالْمَيْتَةَ ـ وَجَعَلَ يَخْرُجُ مِنَ الأَرْضِ كَهَيْئَةِ الدُّخَانِ فَأَتَاهُ أَبُو سُفْيَانَ فَقَالَ أَىْ مُحَمَّدُ إِنَّ قَوْمَكَ قَدْ هَلَكُوا فَادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَكْشِفَ عَنْهُمْ فَدَعَا ثُمَّ قَالَ " تَعُودُوا بَعْدَ هَذَا ". فِي حَدِيثِ مَنْصُورٍ ثُمَّ قَرَأَ {فَارْتَقِبْ يَوْمَ تَأْتِي السَّمَاءُ بِدُخَانٍ مُبِينٍ} إِلَى {عَائِدُونَ} أَيُكْشَفُ عَذَابُ الآخِرَةِ فَقَدْ مَضَى الدُّخَانُ وَالْبَطْشَةُ وَاللِّزَامُ وَقَالَ أَحَدُهُمُ الْقَمَرُ وَقَالَ الآخَرُ الرُّومُ.
Narrated `Abdullah:
Allah sent (the Prophet) Muhammad and said:-- 'Say, No wage do I ask of you for this (Qur'an) nor am I one of the pretenders (i.e. a person who pretends things which do not exist). (38.68) When Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saw Quraish standing against him, he said, "O Allah! Help me against them by afflicting them with seven years of famine similar to the seven years (of famine) of Joseph. So they were afflicted with a year of drought that destroyed everything, and they ate bones and hides. (One of them said), "And they ate hides and dead animals, and (it seemed to them that) something like smoke was coming out of the earth. So Abu Sufyan came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said, "O Muhammad! Your people are on the verge of destruction! Please invoke Allah to relieve them." So the Prophet (ﷺ) invoked Allah for them (and the famine disappeared). He said to them. "You will revert (to heathenism) after that." `Abdullah then recited: 'Then watch you for the Day that the sky will bring forth a kind of smoke plainly visible.......but truly you will revert (to disbelief).' He added, "Will the punishment be removed from them in the Hereafter? The smoke and the grasp and the Al-Lizam have all passed." One of the sub-narrater said, "The splitting of the moon." And another said, "The defeat of the Romans (has passed).
‘আবদুল্লাহ্ (রাঃ) থেকে বর্ণিতঃ তিনি বলেন, আল্লাহ্ তা‘আলা মুহাম্মাদ (সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম)-কে পাঠিয়ে বলেছেন, “বল, আমি এর জন্য তোমাদের কাছে কোন প্রতিদান চাই না এবং যারা মিথ্যা দাবী করে আমি তাদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত নই।” রসূলুল্লাহ্ (সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম) যখন দেখলেন যে, কুরাইশরা তাঁর নাফরমানী করছে, তখন তিনি ললেন, ইউসুফ (‘আ.)-এর সময়কার সাত বছরের দুর্ভিক্ষের মত দুর্ভিক্ষের দ্বারা তুমি আমাকে তাদের বিরুদ্ধে সাহায্য কর। ফলে দুর্ভিক্ষ তাদের পেয়ে বসল। নিঃশেষ করে দিল তাদের সমস্ত কিছু, এমনকি তারা হাড় এবং চামড়া খেতে আরম্ভ করল। আর একজন রাবী বলেছেন, তারা চামড়া ও মরা খেতে লাগল। তখন যামীন থেকে ধোঁয়ার মত বের হতে লাগল। এ সময় আবূ সুফ্ইয়ান নবী (সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম)-এর কাছে এসে বলল, হে মুহাম্মাদ! তোমার কওম তো ধ্বংস হয়ে গেল। আল্লাহ্র কাছে দু‘আ কর, যেন তিনি তাদের থেকে এ অবস্থা দূর করে দেন। তখন তিনি দু‘আ করলেন, এবং বললেন, এরপর তারা আবার নিজেদের আগের অবস্থায় ফিরে যাবে। মানসুর হতে বর্ণিত হাদীসে আছে, তারপর তিনি এ আয়াত পাঠ করলেন, “অতএব, তুমি অপেক্ষা কর সে দিনের, যে দিন স্পষ্ট ধূম্রাচ্ছন্ন হবে আকাশ, তোমরা তো আগের অবস্থায় ফিরে যাবেই.....পর্যন্ত। (তিনি বলেন) আখিরাতের শাস্তিও কি দূর হয়ে যাবে? ধোঁয়া, প্রবল পাকড়াও এবং ধ্বংস তো অতিক্রান্ত হয়েছে। এক রাবী চন্দ্র এবং অন্য রাবী রোমের পরাজয়ের কথাও উল্লেখ করেছেন। [১০০৭] (আ.প্র. ৪৪৬০, ই.ফা. ৪৪৬২)
