Chapter 5: "And (remember) when We said: Enter this town (Jerusalem) and eat bountifully therein with pleasure and delight wherever you wish..." (V.2:58) - كتاب التفسير
حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " قِيلَ لِبَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ {ادْخُلُوا الْبَابَ سُجَّدًا وَقُولُوا حِطَّةٌ} فَدَخَلُوا يَزْحَفُونَ عَلَى أَسْتَاهِهِمْ، فَبَدَّلُوا وَقَالُوا حِطَّةٌ، حَبَّةٌ فِي شَعَرَةٍ ".
Narrated Abu Huraira:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "It was said to the children of Israel, 'Enter the gate (of the town), prostrate (in humility) and say: Hittatun (i.e. repentance) i.e. O Allah! Forgive our sins.' But they entered by dragging themselves on their buttocks, so they did something different (from what they had been ordered to do) and said, 'Hittatun,' but added, "A grain in a hair."
আবূ হুরাইরাহ (রাঃ) থেকে বর্ণিতঃ নবী (সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম) বলেন, বানী ইসরাঈলকে বলা হয়েছিল যে, তোমরা সাজদাহ্ অবস্থায় নগর দ্বারে প্রবেশ কর এবং বল حِطَّةٌ (ক্ষমা চাই) কিন্তু তারা প্রবেশ করল নিতম্ব হেঁচড়াতে হেঁচড়াতে এবং শব্দকে পরিবর্তন করে তদস্থলে বলল, গম ও যবের দানা। [৩৪০৩] (আ.প্র. ৪১২১, ই.ফা. ৪১২৪)
