Hadith 2289
Chapter 54: Fasting While Traveling, And Mentioning The Differences Reported In The Narration Of Ibn 'Abbas about it - كتاب الصيام
أَخْبَرَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عِيسَى، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ مِقْسَمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم صَامَ فِي السَّفَرِ حَتَّى أَتَى قُدَيْدًا ثُمَّ دَعَا بِقَدَحٍ مِنْ لَبَنٍ فَشَرِبَ فَأَفْطَرَ هُوَ وَأَصْحَابُهُ .
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that:
the Messenger of Allah fasted while traveling until he reached Qudaid, then he called for a cup of milk and drank and broke his fast; he and his Companions.
