Hadith 173
Chapter 2: Musnad `Umar b. al-Khattab (ra) - مُسْنَدِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ
حَدَّثَنَا سَفْيَانُ، عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي يَزِيدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ الْوَلَدُ لِلْفِرَاشِ.
It was narrated from ‘Umar bin al Khattab رضي الله عنه that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
`The child belongs to the (husband or master of the) woman.`
